Police Officer
Beloit Police Department

The Beloit Police Department is accepting applications for a Police Officer. Duties include but not limited to, general patrol, answering calls for service, investigation of criminal activity and traffic enforcement. Beloit is located in North Central Kansas and is only 12 miles from Waconda Lake, where you will find some of the best recreational opportunities in the state. The North Central Kansas Technical College and the Beloit Juvenile Correctional Facility are also located in Beloit. Beloit is a full service, rural community of approximately 4,000 citizens with excellent public and private school systems.
TYPE Full Time
SALARY Hiring range is generally from $12.59 - $14.16. Single and family insurance offered, boot allowance, weapon and uniforms supplied.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be 21 at the time of appointment, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, possess or have the ability to obtain Kansas Law Enforcement certification, pass a drug screen, pass a psychological and medical exam, and possibly submit to a polygraph exam. Be free of any domestic violence or felony convictions. Residency requirement is 15 minute response time upon approval or residency with in the city limits.
