The City of Edwardsville, Kansas is accepting applications for Police Officer. We seek persons who are currently KLETC certified, or eligible to receive certification, and will enthusiastically embrace the principles of loyalty, integrity, fairness, and excellence of our police department.

Located South of I-70 and West of I-435 in Kansas City metropolitan area, the City of Edwardsville is positioned for fast growth from numerous proposed development projects and is seeking individuals who are ready and able to meet new and exciting challenges.

TYPE Full Time
SALARY The City of Edwardsville offers generous benefits including:
  • A progressive pay schedule. Hire range for 2008 is $36,249 and is expected to increase to $38,188 in 2009.
  • Group Health Insurance coverage
  • KP&F retirement,
  • 80 vacation hours, 1 day per month sick leave accruals,
  • $900.00 annual clothing allowance with all equipment supplied at the time of hire,
  • 10 paid holidays,
  • No residency requirement 45 minute response time
  • Bargaining Unit represented position
  • FTO, Range Master, DARE/SRO specialty pays
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
Twenty one years of age at time of appointment; high school diploma or GED (some college preferred); posses current peace officer certification, or ability to obtain certification within one year, good physical condition; no domestic violence or felony convictions.
