The Kansas Peace Officers Association:

Maintains a professional legislative liaison at Topeka during the legislative session.
Maintains an active role in all legislation affecting law enforcement.
Assisted in passage of mandatory law enforcement training legislation.
Supported establishment of the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center.
Supported sheriff's tenure.
Continually works to improve KPERS and KP&F retirement programs.

Legislative Updates

2012 Session

January 28, 2012

Starting with this week my weekly legislative update e-mails will be different than before. This is because I have posted a new website. The website will allow you to see up-to-date information. Often, the weekly bulletin information is outdated and changed by the time you are reading it. My new website is located at the following URL:

The website will have more information relative to law enforcement in the future, but for now I am concentrating on the legislative pages. Feedback and comments are welcomed.
