The job duties of the Lieutenant – Corrections include but are not limited to assist with the overall supervision of the County Jail; to ensure that the living conditions of the inmates are maintained in a humane manner; to ensure that the inmates are granted their constitutional rights; to coordinate and oversee the training of all the correction officers and evaluate their work; to enforce all federal, state, and local law resolutions; and to provide responsive, courteous and efficient service to County residents and the general public.

SALARY: $20.34/ Hr
High school diploma or GED.
Technical degree or Associate’s degree in criminal justice preferred.
Three (3) years’ experience in law enforcement or corrections.
Three (3) years supervisory experience preferred.
Certifications that must be achieved during the first year of employment and maintained throughout employment: taser, CPR, and first aid.
Valid Kansas driver’s license.
Must reside within a 30-mile radius of worksite of employment
