The Paola Police Department is currently searching for motivated individuals for the full-time position of Police Officer. The city of Paola Is located 18 miles south of Olathe, Kansas and the Greater Kansas City Metro Area. The Paola Police Department consists of 18 sworn Officers and 7 civilian employees. As well as its own communications and detention centers. Those selected to fill this position will be responsible for enforcing local, state, and federal laws, investigating crimes, enforcing traffic regulations, investigating traffic crashes, assisting the public, and serving on a TEAM that takes great pride in serving and protecting its community. State certified officers are preferred by not required.

SALARY: Starting salary range is $37,530-$40,105 yearly DOQ. Other benefits include sick, vacation, and personal leave, furnished uniforms and equipment, health, dental, and life insurance plans, and Kansas Police & Fire (KP&F) retirement.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, must possess a valid driver’s license, must be in good physical condition, have no felony, serious misdemeanor, or domestic violence convictions, be a US citizen, possess a high school diploma or GED, and must be able to pass a written and oral exam, physical fitness, physical exam, polygraph and psychological exam. Certified Officers must not have any Brady/Giglio material in their background to be eligible for hiring.
