Negotiations at the Topeka Police Dept. April 12,13 & 14,

KAHN (pronounced can) was formed in 2000
when representatives of the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, Kansas
Highway Patrol, Kansas City PD, Olathe PD, Overland Park PD,
Topeka PD and Wichita PD came to together to address a need for a
state association for crisis/hostage negotiators.
Mission
The Kansas Association of Hostage Negotiators (KAHN) is a
non-profit association dedicated to the promotion of crisis
negotiations within the field of law enforcement. The
association strives to establish a standard for Kansas
negotiators to share resources and intelligence with the goal of
preserving life through non-violent means.
