The DEA Basic Drug Investigators Course is designed for officers and detectives recently assigned to a drug unit, who have little or no experience in narcotics enforcement; or those who aspire to conduct more effective and comprehensive drug investigations.  This is a 40-hour course, hosted jointly by the DEA and KBI, utilizing hand selected instructors with a wide breadth of experience at the state and federal level.  The course instruction includes following topics:

* Drug Identification

* Undercover Operations

* Interview & Interrogation

* Title III (Wire taps)

* Financial and Conspiracy Investigations

* Surveillance Basics

* Tactical Raid Basics

* Police Civil Liability

* Search and Seizure

* Courtroom Testimony
