The Jewell County Sheriff’s Office is seeking applications for the position of Deputy Sheriff. This is a full-time position. Jewell County Sheriff’s office employs 4 full-time Deputy Sheriff’s and 4 full-time Dispatchers. Jewell County Dispatch is maned 24/7 serving the Sheriff’s Office, EMS and Fire/Rescue.
Jewell County is located next to the Nebraska State Line. Mankato is the county seat of Jewell County. Jewell County covers 900 square miles, has 7 cities and has approximately 2,800 residents. Jewell County is located 4 hours West of Kansas City and 6 hours East of Denver. Grand Island, NE and Salina, KS are both just 1.5 hours away to meet your shopping needs. To the Southwest is Hays, KS at 2 hours away. There are 2 lakes nearby that are great for camping and fishing. Jewell County also has excellent land for hunting.
