The Wilson County Sheriff's Office, located in southeast Kansas; the county seat is Fredonia, Kansas. We are accepting applications for the position of Patrol Deputy. We are seeking reliable, dependable, motivated, and professional individuals dedicated to public safety and law enforcement.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly pay: starting base pay is $17.00 per hour. (Hourly rate could vary based on experience and training).
- 12hr shift with every other weekend is a three-day weekend off.
- Paid vacation and sick leave.
- 12 paid holidays

- Kansas Public Employees Retirement System ( KPERS)
- Uniforms and duty equipment provided.
- Take home vehicle if the deputy lives within 15 miles of the Wilson County Line.
Minimum Qualifications
- Be a U.S. Citizen
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Possess a High school Diploma or GED equivalent
- Hold a valid driver's license
- Have NO felony convictions or Domestic violence
- Must be able to obtain certification through the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC)
- Ability to pass a medical exam, drug screening and Psychological evaluation.
