The Hoisington Police Department is currently accepting applications for the position of Patrol Officer. This role is responsible for enforcing state and local laws, responding to calls for service, criminal and accident investigations, and engaging in proactive, community-focused policing.

Patrol Officers work 12-hour shifts and are provided with competitive wages, benefits and KPERS retirement. The Hoisington Police Department is committed to investing in its officers through ongoing training, professional development, and opportunities to enhance individual skills and abilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to meet state law enforcement certification standards

• Strong communication, judgment, and problem-solving skills

• All successful applicants must be able to pass a background check and be free of any disqualifying factors. 

Current certified officers are preferred.
