The City of Ulysses is seeking conscientious, motivated applicants for the position of Police Officer. The Ulysses Police Department is a modern, well equipped agency that serves a population of approx. 6000. Our Department has the opportunity to advance to positions such as Sergeant, Detective, SRO & K-9 Handler.

TYPE:  Full Time

SALARY: 

  • Non-Certified Full Time Patrol Officer $20.00 /hr starting pay
  • Certified Full Time Patrol Officer pay based on experience and qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be a legal US Citizen
  • Must possess a valid KS Driver's License or ability to obtain a KS Driver’s License upon hire
  • Have a High School diploma or GED
  • Possess good moral character
  • Cannot have any felony convictions
  • Cannot have serious misdemeanor convictions
  • Residency within the City of Ulysses within 30 days of employment
