We are seeking dedicated and vigilant individuals to join our team as Police Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining public safety, enforcing laws, and protecting the rights of citizens. As a Full-Time Police Officer, you will engage with the community, respond to emergencies, and conduct investigations to ensure a safe environment for all.
Responsibilities

Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect criminal activity.

Respond promptly to calls for service, emergencies, and incidents.

Conduct thorough investigations of crimes and incidents, gathering evidence and interviewing witnesses.

Prepare detailed reports documenting incidents, arrests, and other relevant information.

Enforce traffic laws and regulations to ensure road safety.
-
Engage with community members to build trust and foster positive relationships.

Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies as required.
Minimum Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen
-
High school diploma or GED
-
Must be at least 21 years of age
-
Must pass an extensive background investigation and psychological exam

Valid Kansas driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Must be of good moral character
-
No felony convictions
-
No domestic battery convictions or diversions
-
No disqualifying misdemeanor convictions
-
Must reside with 60 minutes of the City of Lyndon

Must be able to attend and pass all educational and physical requirements of the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center (KLETC)

This position requires shift work, including weekends and holidays

Base Pay: $19.50 - $23.00 per hour and based on qualifications.
