The City of La Cygne, Kansas is seeking an experienced, community-focused law enforcement professional to serve as its next Chief of Police.

La Cygne is a growing community of approximately 1,050 residents located just south of the Kansas City metropolitan area. The city is committed to supporting its Police Department through modern equipment, innovative technology, and a philosophy of community-oriented policing.

• Starting Salary:$60,320 annually (DOE)

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of sworn law enforcement experience.

• Patrol experience required.

• Investigative experience preferred.

• Kansas law enforcement certification, or the ability to obtain Kansas certification.

• Valid driver's license.

• Must establish residence within a 20-minute drive time of the City of La Cygne within a timeframe established by City policy.

• Demonstrated leadership, sound judgment, and excellent communication skills.
